Fresh olive oil has the power to transform your food — to turn a good meal into something sublime.

An herbaceous and fruity olive oil can turn a summer tomato into a moment of sensory revelry. A robust and grassy olio-slathered steak can conjure a table trip to Tuscany. Michelin-starred chefs and committed home cooks know that a heavy splash of vibrant finishing oil has the power to transform food — to turn a good meal into something sublime.

Like Family makes assertively fruit-forward California extra virgin olive oil that love food. All our oils are varietal-driven, provenanced, and burstingly fresh.

We make our oils from own orchard in Carmel Valley, as well as like-minded California growers.

FKA Other Brother.

A note from Evan Loewy, Other Brother founder

Other Brother Co. was started 12 years ago when I was 23 — the company grew up alongside me. People often ask where the name comes from and who exactly is this "other brother." My response has always been the same: sometimes friends can feel “Like Family.” The friends you start businesses with, as I did this one, the friends you break bread with, so many times you think of them as family — maybe you too, have an “other brother” or “other sister”?

This familial sense of friendship is what Other Brother is all about. As our sister company, Other Brother Beer blossoms and heads in its own direction, it’s time for this lil' olive oil company to begin its own new chapter.

Enter Dani Fisher, my new business partner, a kindred spirit, and friend.  I met Dani years ago through Good Eggs market in San Francisco. Since we’ve reconnected, I’m struck by her passion for food and an infectious love of olive oil that’s exactly what this company needed.

Other Brother Co. is now Like Family. Thank you for all your support throughout the years. Dani and I look forward to continuing to bring you what I believe is something special and most importantly delicious.
